Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, where you sign in via a third-party provider (Google, GitHub, LinkedIn), your name and profile picture as provided by that provider.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This data is collected only with your explicit consent and is processed via analytics tools described in Section 4.

Content Data

We collect the URLs and content sources you submit for transcription or subscription (e.g., YouTube channels, podcast feeds), as well as generated outputs such as transcriptions and briefs.

Payment Data

If you purchase a paid plan or credit top-up, payment information (including billing details) is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card numbers on our systems.

Communications

We retain records of support requests and other correspondence you send to us.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Performance of a Contract: Processing your account data and content data is necessary to provide the Service you have signed up for.
Legitimate Interests: We process certain data to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to improve and maintain the Service, where such interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
Consent: Analytics cookies and product analytics are processed only upon your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time via the cookie preference panel on our website.
Legal Obligation: We may process data where required to comply with applicable law, court orders, or regulatory requirements.

4. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
To send transactional communications, including one-time passcodes (OTP), subscription briefs, and billing receipts.
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activity.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We do not use your personal data or submitted content to train or fine-tune AI models.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We engage the following third-party processors who act on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements:

Supabase: Database hosting and authentication infrastructure. Data may be stored in the United States and/or European Union.
Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Brevo: Transactional email delivery.
Google Analytics 4: Web analytics. Activated only with your consent. IP anonymization is enabled.
Posthog: Product analytics. Activated only with your consent.
Vercel: Website hosting and deployment infrastructure.

6. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a third country, we do so in accordance with applicable data protection law, including through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or other appropriate safeguards.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it for a longer period.

Transcription and brief history is retained for a period of 12 months from the date of generation. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Restriction: You may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Right to Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
